Digicel Haiti
Privately owned company, Digicel started to deliver GSM cellular phone service in 2001 in the Caribbean. Digicel runs a host of community-based initiatives across its markets in the Caribbean and has also set up Digicel Foundation in Haiti as well as in Jamaica and Papua New Guinea to provide programs on educational, cultural and social development issues.
Digicel Foundation in Haiti has been established since May 2006. Their work includes projects to strengthen the communities in Haiti and construction of many schools and orphanages and more.
