Canadian Construction Association
This organization is considered to be the voice of the national non-residential construction industry and represents over 17,000 members in an integrated structure of some 70 local, regional and provincial construction associations. One of their projects involved the rebuilding of École Lakay, a trade school located in Port-au-Prince that was devastated in January 2010 Haiti earthquake. Thanks to the fundraising efforts by the Canadian Construction Association and its partners, CCA will be working very closely with Builders without Borders (an organization that was introduced to CCA by the British Columbia Construction Association), The Rinaldi Foundation in Haiti and representatives from the Association de la construction du Québec, to begin the rebuilding process. According to the immediate Past Chair Wayne Morsky, the school will help Haitian students learn construction trades and in return would help rebuild the country.
