More than one year ago, we were faced with a tragedy that propelled most of us to see life differently. On that fateful afternoon, thousands of lives were lost and many more were suddenly changed. Although scientific explanations were offered, many questioned God’s motives, while others remained in denial about the multitude of deaths.

   Regardless of the origin, the aftermath that followed carried a period of healing and grief that eventually became a way of life. Many were left with no clear path for the future, no vision, no emotional support and a void that just could not be filled. The aftermath also brought us solidarity as many nations came together to help us overcome this tragedy. Though this support has produced positive results, there is still a lot of work left to be done. As work continues to take place, communication, harmony, teamwork and hard work will continue to be key to success.
