ACODEV is an approved federation of associations of NGOs that are of French, bilingual and German development. The federation has about 87 members including 76 NGOs that have been approved as ONGD by the Minister of the Development Cooperation. ACODEV was recognized by the Minister of Development Cooperation as a federation of NGOs of French language. The federation believes in the added value of NGO’s work and strengthens its members to optimize their work and better cooperate in the development.

Founded in April 12 2011, the Sickle Cell Association of Haiti is a nonprofit national association that promotes awareness and prevention of sickle cell anemia and its complications to groups affected by the disease. AAFH partners with other national and international organizations to deliver information and materials about research and treatments, medical and community resources available for better understanding of the disease. Overall, they are working to improve the quality and life expectancy of patients with sickle cell disease in Haiti.

The Haitian Association of Sports Press (ASHAPS) was founded on May 24, 1986 by a group of sports’ journalists at a restaurant named "The Tiffany”. The ASHAPS is an independent association located in Port-au-Prince and has both active and honorary members. Their objectives are not limited to defending the interests of the sports’ press members in accordance with national laws; undertaking all steps for the promotion of national sport; and encouraging continuing education of its members. The association is also affiliated with the International Sports Press Association (AIPS) and FEDEPA (Federation of Sports Journalists of America).

ANOC ‘s mission is to support and make recommendations for the growth of all National Olympic Committees with the collaboration of the IOC (international olympic committee) and other organizations and commissions promoting sport. ANOC also provides support to underprivileged countries through the Olympic Solidarity program. By offering scholarships for athletes and coaches, technical courses, and courses for sport administrators, the association helps to reduce the gap of unequal development among the National Olympic Committees while focusing on offering opportunities of development for the huge athletic potential existing in developing countries. In addition, they oversee the Olympic Games’ universal character, the stability of Olympic Program in developing sports worldwide, the conditions of participation for athletes at the Olympic Games and their ceremonies as well as their accommodations and clothing equipment of Olympic delegation and accommodations of staff caring for the athletes.

CAM is the national organization representing midwives and the profession of midwifery in Canada. Their mission is to provide leadership and advocacy for midwifery as a regulated, publicly funded and vital part of the primary maternity care system in all provinces and territories. CAM’s vision is to have every woman in Canada access to a midwife’s care for herself and her baby.
The Ghislaine Francoeur Fund was launched in 2008 by the Canadian Association of Midwives (CAM) in partnership with the Canadian Foundation for Women’s Health (CFWH). The Fund was established in the name of Madame Ghislaine Francoeur, midwife and educator at the École Nationale d’Infirmieres Sages-Femmes in Port-au-Prince, Haiti to contribute in the reduction of maternal and infant mortality, and to promote the development of midwifery and of midwifery education in Haiti.

This organization is considered to be the voice of the national non-residential construction industry and represents over 17,000 members in an integrated structure of some 70 local, regional and provincial construction associations. One of their projects involved the rebuilding of École Lakay, a trade school located in Port-au-Prince that was devastated in January 2010 Haiti earthquake. Thanks to the fundraising efforts by the Canadian Construction Association and its partners, CCA will be working very closely with Builders without Borders (an organization that was introduced to CCA by the British Columbia Construction Association), The Rinaldi Foundation in Haiti and representatives from the Association de la construction du Québec, to begin the rebuilding process. According to the immediate Past Chair Wayne Morsky, the school will help Haitian students learn construction trades and in return would help rebuild the country.

Energy Psychology Without Borders is a non-profit humanitarian association created by mental health professionals who use energy psychology techniques in their practice to heal physical and mental suffering. Their goal is to initiate and deliver care free of charge to people who are suffering. Following the 2010 Haiti earthquake, EPsySF began training people free-of-charge in Haiti and in countries devastated by natural disasters or war, to benefit populations suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. Created in 1998, HALEFO’s mission is to develop a network of Haitian American Law Enforcement personnel that can use their expertise to respond to the community needs when appropriate. Their objective is to promote cultural diversity. Founded in 1960, IDA is an agency of the World Bank that helps the world’s poorest countries and it is the single largest source of donor funds for basic social services in the poorest countries. Their mission is to reduce poverty by providing interest-free credits and grants for programs that boost economic growth, reduce inequalities and improve people’s living conditions. IDA credits are made under concessional terms where repayments are stretched over 25 to 40 years, including a 5 to 10-year grace period. The World Bank is seen as a cooperative, where its 187 member countries are shareholders which are represented by a Board of Governors, who are the ultimate policy makers at the World Bank.
IDA finances projects focused on primary education, basic health services, clean water and sanitation, environmental safeguards, business climate improvements, infrastructure and institutional reforms.
